Political education

We are currently observing the strengthening of right-wing populism, conspiracy theories and anti-feminism. This deparment aims to contribute to the students’ ability to be critical and to act and encourage their political participation. To this end, we cooperate with various actors in Saarland and throughout Germany.
Our events include topics from current (federal, state) politics, political theory and university politics. We vary our formats and offer lectures, workshops and discussions.

The university in particular offers many opportunities for participation. For this reason, one focus of the department is the clarification of university structures and student self-administration in order to point out possible courses of action. We would be happy to support you in setting up working groups (Arbeitskreise) or university groups (Hochschulgruppen). In addition, we advise you about further participation possibilities.
