For your information: The ministry of transport takes on half of the Semesterticket for the summer term 2021 so we have adjusted the amount of the refund.
Under strict conditions given by § 4 Beitragsordnung, the Semesterticket can be partially or totally refunded.
The hard disable persons, the students staying more than 3 months out of Saarland because of their studies (internship, exchange…) and Beurlaubte can get a full refund of their Semesterticket. The Semesterticket can be partially refund for people registered 2 months after begin of the semester or who de-registered 2 months before the end of the semester.
The details are given under in the table.
The form for the refund can be download and is also available on the website and in the AStA office (in Saarbrücken: AStA-Gebäude A 5.2; in Homburg: AStA-Außenstelle Gebäude 74). The forms are both for demand and confirmation. In “confirmation” (“Bescheid”) you must indicate your adress.

The demand can be brought during the office hours of the Geschäftsstelle at the AStA or be posted. The postadress is already indicated on the form. In Homburg könnt ihr die Anträge in der AStA-Außenstelle abgeben.
Our employee treats as fast as possible the demands per e-mail. It can be speed reduction if it is necessary to get in contact with the universitarian institutions for the treatment of the demand.
The processing time of a demand is in general of two to four weeks.
Die Überweisungen erfolgen auf das vom Antragsteller angegebene Konto für die Sommersemester nach dem 15.05. und für die Wintersemester nach dem 15.11. Ausnahmen liegen bei vorzeitiger Exmatrikulation und bei verspäteter Immatrikulation vor.
Bitte achten Sie darauf, eine gültige IBAN anzugeben. Vergewissern Sie sich bitte auch, dass die Länge der von Ihnen angegebenen IBAN mit der für Ihr Land festgelegten Länge übereinstimmt. Außerdem ist es notwendig, dass Ihr Land am SEPA-Lastschriftverfahren teilnimmt.
IMPORTANT :
The AStA takes no responsability for lost student cards. Even if we take care of your student card and inform you want we send it back to you, unfortunately it can happen that a student card (posted) get lost. In order to avoid this situation, we advice you to take back your student card directly by us during our office hours.
All documents, the student card too, must be given before the deadline of demand, otherwise the demand is considerated as infonded !
Since Wintersemester 2015/16 this is not possible to accept refund demand of the reason “Wohnort Homburg” ! All possible refund reasons are indicated in the following table and also in the form to complete for the demand.
